diet is correct, medicine is of no need."

A VEGETARIAN diet can help protect against heart disease, lower high blood pressure, control diabetes and help fight against cancer.
Many people today are choosing a vegetarian diet for a variety of reasons. Some are looking for healthy alternatives to animal products, others choose a vegetarian way of life for ethical reasons. Some may have milk and dairy allergies. Whatever your reasons, a vegetarian diet can be balanced, healthy and satisfying.
A DIET too high in protein can help promote some diseases including cancer, kidney disease and osteoporosis. Switching to a vegetarian diet can help reverse the process.
In the early 1900s, Americans were told to eat more than 100g of protein a day. As recently as the 1950s, people were encouraged to boost their protein intake. Even today, certain diet books encourage high protein intake for weight loss, although most Western diets already tend to contain twice the amount of protein needed.
A VEGETARIAN diet can help prevent osteoporosis. Vegetables and beans are good sources of calcium as high animal protein diets promote calcium loss through the urine.
Many people avoid milk these days because it contains saturated fat, allergenic proteins, lactose and frequent traces of contamination. Others have dairy allergies and feel unwell after consuming dairy products.
